Skrill Prepaid Mastercard Only Available in SEPA Countries

Paysafe Group is the parent company of both Skrill and Neteller. On the 25th of November, it sent out an email to all of its customers. In the email, the company revealed that it was suspending its prepaid MasterCard service in about 100 countries worldwide.

The prepaid MasterCard gives its users the chance to instantly access money that is stored in their Skrill account. This means that they easily withdraw their funds from ATMs, spend the money online, or make in-store purchases anywhere that MasterCard is accepted. However, each time that a user withdraws money from an ATM, a small fee will be charged.

The email they the Paysafe Group sent to its customers read:

Dear Customer

We regret to inform you that as of 25 November 2016, we will no longer offer the Skrill Prepaid
Mastercard in your country. You will not be able to use your card but your Skrill Account
remains fully functional and your balance is unaffected. You can withdraw funds from your Skrill
Account to your bank account or send money to any other Skrill user or online business accepting
Skrill.
