Fans of the show were left shocked this week when they finally understood what happed to Chambers’s character. In the episode, Alex writes letters to Jo, Bailey, Richard, and Meredith. In the letter, Alex makes it clear to his buddies why he had to leave.
In his letter to Meredith, Alex explains that he decided not to call her simply because he was afraid that she would convince him to come back. He further says the reason that he can’t come back to Seattle.
