Gameplay

GamesAt the beginning of this online casino game, players will be dealt 5 cards. They then decide if they want to discard or keep the cards. The cards that they want to keep or “hold” are kept. While the rest are discarded and replaced with new ones. Players will then try to create the best the best 5-card poker hand.

The main aim of the game is that the player gets at least a pair of Jacks or better. By better, we mean a pair that is higher than the Jacks or higher than those displayed on the paytable.

When it comes to the winning hands, players should adhere to the original poker hands. Namely the royal flush, straight flush, full house, flush, straight, three of a kind, and two pairs.

Jacks or Better Tips

  1. Players should never try to reach another hand if they have been dealt the following Full House, 3 of a Kind, 4 of a Kind,  2 Pair.
  2. Players should never give up a High Pair for a hand that is four to Flush or four to a Straight.
  3. If you have Low Pair, hang on to it. This is even if you have three cards to a Straight Flush or four cards to a Straight.
  4. Should you be dealt with four cards that make a Royal Flush, always make sure that you discard the fifth card, no matter what.
  5. If, for instance, you have dealt a Flush or a Straight, then you should keep those cards. This is unless of cause you are one card away from a Royal Flush.
  6. Players should bear in mind that 3 of Kind, a High Pair,  and a Straight are all stronger when compared to three cards that create a Royal Flush. Therefore, you should only keep cards that lead to a Royal Flush. That is if the other cards are lower like a Low Pair or a four to a Flush.
  7. If you are holding on to four cards to a Straight Flush or four cards to a Royal Flush, you should always stick to a High Pair that you have dealt.
